Epic Reveal: 'A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms' Game of Thrones Spin-off Shakes Up São Paulo's CCXP!

Attention all Game of Thrones fans! The electrifying world of Westeros springs to life once again with HBO's latest spin-off, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. The atmosphere at São Paulo's CCXP convention was electric as the stars of the new series, including the towering Peter Claffey and young prodigy Dexter Sol Ansell, took center stage to give us a tantalizing taste of what’s to come.

Claffey, who dons the armor of Ser Duncan the Tall, managed to drop a nugget of pure fandom gold during the panel. As fans buzzed with anticipation, he revealed an exclusive tidbit about the legendary George R.R. Martin. When asked if he or his co-star had met the genius behind the A Song of Ice and Fire series, Claffey beamed as he recounted Martin's visit to the set. It turns out the man behind our favorite fantasy saga divulged that The Hedge Knight holds a special place as his favorite story!

Originally published in 1998, The Hedge Knight kicks off the Tales of Dunk and Egg series, and it's a tale Martin cherishes deeply. Claffey joked that Martin humorously implored Ira Parker, the showrunner, to 'please don't mess it up!' But fret not, it seems Martin left the set beaming with approval, particularly praising Daniel Ings, who brings Ser Lyonel Baratheon to vivid life. Sol Ansell couldn't help but chime in, calling Ings' performance hilariously captivating!

Mark those calendars for January 18, 2026, when A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms lands on HBO. With a second season already on the way, the buzz is real, folks. Sol Ansell is all in, even getting his head shaved ahead of filming. But that's not all! The CCXP panel gifted us an action-packed new trailer that’s simply unmissable.
