Epic Update: Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake Blasts Forward - KOTOR 2 May Join the Adventure!

Galactic Newsflash: KOTOR Remake Lives On with Potential KOTOR 2 in the Works!

Buckle up, fellow Jedi and Sith! The force is strong with this one as new intel from the Star Wars galaxy lights up our inner hyperspace travelers. Feast your eyes on this: Saber Interactive has confirmed that the much-buzzed-about remake of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic is still forging its path towards a modern gaming universe. But wait, there's more! Rumor has it that KOTOR 2 might also be getting the glow-up treatment it deserves.

The scoop drops from a Game File report, showing up when court documents unleashed a tidal wave of revelations. This all kicked off with a legal brawl sparked by a 2023 false-advertising lawsuit against Saber's Aspyr Media and Lucasfilm. As it turns out, these documents also hinted at a secretive venture named 'Juliet'.

Project Juliet: Code-named for a full-fledged, blast-them-to-bits remake of KOTOR 2! Lucasfilm Games VP Douglas Reilly spilled the beans, saying it was meant to overhaul the game with modern visuals and jazzed-up gameplay while keeping the beloved story, characters, and core Star Wars essence intact.

And for those of us mourning the axed cut content from KOTOR 2, Reilly hinted that it might also be resurrected in this mysterious 'Juliet' project, putting the fragments back into the grand narrative.

Where does this leave KOTOR 2 on the development roadmap? It's swirling in the force's currents, with their last whisper from Reilly denoting it as 'technically on the roadmap' by March 2025.

But fear not, intrepid adventurers! The initial mission is clear, beginning with the remake of the revered KOTOR 1. And who’s navigating this? Not Aspyr, but the gaming wizards from Mad Head Games, known for concocting havoc in Hellraiser: Revival!

This saga began with an announcement back in the cosmic year of 2021, and it seems set among those games we've long awaited to see materialize from vaporware. Still, Saber Interactive has assured that this journey isn’t over. As of March, they confirmed that 'everything that we have talked about is still in development.' May the force be with them!
