Director Casey Hudson, now heading Arcanaut Studios in Edmonton, has vowed the highly-anticipated game will soar onto our screens well before 2030. That's right, as Casey tweeted, 'Don’t worry about the ‘not till 2030’ rumors. The game will be out before then. I’m not getting any younger!' Talk about setting the record straight!
Arcanaut Studios might be fresh out of the gates, founded just months ago, but with Hudson spearheading the effort, you know this AAA title is going to be epic. Partnering with LucasFilm Games, they're crafting a 'narrative-driven single-player action RPG' inspired by the iconic Knights of the Old Republic but adding an exciting new storyline with fresh characters. Dive into the role of a Force user navigating a galaxy poised for rebirth, where every choice plunges you deeper into the struggle between light and darkness.
Despite the game still being in early development, Casey Hudson promises short and sweet updates: this galactic adventure will launch by 2029 at the latest. Of course, building a new studio from scratch while crafting a game of this scope is a mammoth task! Just imagine the legions of fans eager for even a hint of that signature KOTOR magic!
We might just see this space epic crossing into the realm of next-gen consoles – could it land on the PlayStation 6, the next Xbox, and PC? Only time will tell, but you can bet your bottom dollar the hype train is full steam ahead!
